Eurovision 2017 : Celebrate Diversity

Αποτέλεσμα εικόνας για eurovision 2017

For those who dont know Eurovision is a big song contest taking place in an europian country each year, where all countries of Europe celebrate through music and also compete for the 1st place!

This year has been quite interesting for eurovision fans as there is a quantity of songs not only ballads or only dance songs. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of the first greek win for Helena Paparizou with the song «My Number One».

Now lets move to my favourite songs:

  1. UK «Never Give Up On You»

UK finally decided to send a good song to the Eurovision Song Contest after many many years! Lucie Jones is a great vocalist and the staging is also breathtaking. I can totally imagine UK finishing in top 5-7. Great voice and great performance. Hurrayy Lucie

2. Denmark «Where I Am»

Although it has received some tough reviews i personally think that Anja has an EXTRATERRESTRIAL voice and with this performance she could make it to top 10. Only one advice: She should be more concetrated as for the dynamics of the song because she has a really strong voice.

3. Greece «This Is Love»

The Dream team of Eurovision returns… Fokas Evaggelinos and Dimitris Kontopoulos are back to the eurovision song contest and ready to rise Greece up to the eurovision score. Demy a great performer is working hard so as the final result today will be amazing. But the main problem is that the whole Greek act is facing some pretty tough technical problems for which i am very sad. Yesterday for example Demy couldnt hear the backing vocals and as a result she lowered the high note (THIS IS LOVEEEEEE) and remained calm. Also, there are still problems with the angles of the cameras that definitely have to be fixed till today. One thing is sure: This will be a great summer success. Top 10!

4. Armenia «Fly With Me»

Let me tell you something: I have always loved Armenian entries but this year’s entry is simply breathtaking.  Artsvik is very confident when she performs and the whole staging is amazing and you cant help but be excited. Definitely top 10!

5. Italy «Occidentali’s Carma»

Italy seems to try really hard to win the game these last few years and it may succeed it this year. Francesco delivers a great performance but the song doesnt say much! Ok i mean the gorilla is great the whole staging is great, the performance is good but for me it wont finish first cause of the JURIES. Ι think that the song will finish first at televoting but 3-6 cause of the jury vote.So probably top 3-4.

Jeremy Corbyn elected UK opposition Labour leader

Avowed socialist and Karl Marx admirer Jeremy Corbyn was elected leader of Britain’s opposition Labour party on Saturday

Avowed socialist and Karl Marx admirer Jeremy Corbyn was elected leader of Britain’s opposition Labour party on Saturday, a result that may make a British EU exit more likely and which senior figures have said would leave their party unelectable.

«Can I start by thanking everyone who took part in this democratic election,» Corbyn said in a victory speech.

He won 59.5 percent of the ballots cast, or 251,417 votes, in the leadership, winning in the first round. When the results were announced he was cheered and hugged, even by some of his rivals.

The grey-hair, bearded Corbyn, 66, who only received backing to enter the contest to ensure wide debate and never expected to win, defeated two former Labour ministers, Yvette Cooper and Andy Burnham, and Liz Kendall, regarded as the representative of policies advocated by former Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Corbyn, a left winger and parliamentary veteran with a long history of voting against his own party, triumphed on a message of promising to increase government investment though money-printing and renationalising vast swathes of the economy.
